Base pay range A$112,628.00/yr - A$122,702.00/yr2 x Full time, 12-month fixed term positionsLocation: Faculty of Engineering, Darlington CampusBase Salary $112,628 - $122,702 + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunity The Australian Centre for Robotics (ACFR) is seeking two Senior Software Engineers to contribute to the development, testing, and deployment of ground and/or airborne robotic systems, with a focus on software systems design.As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:Design, deploy and manage R&D software projects in field roboticsEngage with industry partners and the publicSupport the team lead and project manager in planning, risk management, field trials, and report writingOccasionally travel to rural NSW and/or interstate to support fieldworkAbout you A degree in Computer, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent)Strong programming experience (C++, Python, Bash, Matlab; min. 3 years)Experience with Linux systems and/or Robot Operating System (ROS)Knowledge of object-oriented design, multithreaded/multiprocess applicationsAbility to work independently and solve technical problems in the fieldExperience with ML, point cloud/image processing, path planning (desirable)Experience in GUI development and/or the Mavenlink framework (desirable)Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaYou must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply.
