The Australia Hotel (by Bellengen Hotels) in Cessnock, a classic pub in the heart of the Hunter Valley, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our kitchen team. We are a popular local venue known for quality pub meals, a friendly atmosphere, and reliable service. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with our pub menu and standards. Ensure all food is cooked and presented with consistency, quality, and efficiency. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to hygiene and food safety standards. Support stock control through proper storage, rotation, and waste minimisation. Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely service. Requirements: Proven experience working in a kitchen or similar role. Sound knowledge of food hygiene and safe kitchen practices. Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment. Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
