Leading a team of finance professionals is a strategic leadership position that involves overseeing the financial operations of an organization.
This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial processes, while providing high-quality insights to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage month-end close and reporting in line with organizational deadlines.
* Develop cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization strategies.
* Ensure timely completion of statutory compliance tasks, including BAS, Payroll Tax, PAYG, FBT, Income Tax, workers' compensation, and insurance lodgements and payments.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to drive process and reporting improvements.
* Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Submit monthly Finance Board Packs with results, analysis, and commentary.
* Drive quarterly divisional forecasting and annual financial planning.
* Lead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Oversee payroll processing and ensure legislative compliance.
* Lead finance projects, including system upgrades and business transformations.
* Maintain robust internal controls and compliance policies.
* Monitor financial covenants and obligations to stakeholders.
* Coordinate annual audits and tax return preparation.
* Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
About You
As a seasoned finance professional, you possess a CPA/CA qualification, strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, and regulatory compliance. Proven ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement, excellent analytical and communication skills are required for this role.
