Job Title: Maintenance Fitter
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Adbri Cement in Darwin. In this role, you will have the chance to apply your technical expertise working in a team environment and autonomously on plant maintenance.
Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership and commitment to safety, quality, and the environment by maintaining a strong focus on these key areas.
* Carry out mechanical repairs with a particular emphasis on planned and predictive/preventative maintenance to ensure the optimal performance of our plant equipment.
* Identify critical spares that are essential for plant operations.
* Conduct administrative tasks within the maintenance planning system to ensure efficient workflow management.
* Pursue continuous improvement ideas to enhance our processes and increase productivity.
Requirements:
* Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
* A valid vehicle license and High Risk license including Forklift and EWP operation.
* Competence in basic oxy/acetylene gas, MIG/TIG welding repairs, and fabrication.
* Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
* Computer literacy with experience using maintenance planning systems, preferably SAP.
* A confident, self-motivated, and energetic individual who is able to work effectively in a team.
* A high degree of trade flexibility and the ability to work autonomously without direct supervision when required.
