The Department leads the delivery of education and development services to children, young people and adults both directly through government schools and indirectly through the regulation and funding of early childhood services, non-government schools and training programs.
This role has a focus on process, requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to make decisions independently when required. The successful applicant will require excellent prioritisation and time management skills and will continually investigate ways to improve processes to increase efficiency and customer service.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the development and review of manuals and procedures
- Explain rules, procedures and operational policies
- Modify, implement and effectively maintain administrative, filing and information management systems
- Review and monitor efficiency and effectiveness of administration work practices and procedures
- Compile and maintain updated information systems and written records e.g. Registers and databases
- Gather and record data and keep accurate records as required
- Contribute to projects including reporting, monitoring and tracking progress
- Contribute to the development of policy and projects as required
- Prepare timely replies to correspondence
- Direct and monitor correspondence to management as required
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and provide advice on programs and policies
