Overview

Sacred Heart College is a Catholic, co-educational College for students in Years 7-12 located on the coast in Sorrento, Western Australia. The College has established an outstanding reputation for excellence within our Four Pillars – Spiritual, Academic, Cultural and Sport. We are seeking a dedicated and highly organised Home Economics Technician to join our College. This is a full-time, ongoing position, with a start date to be agreed.

Responsibilities

* Reviewing daily class schedules and preparing resources to support practical lessons.
* Regularly inspect equipment and machinery to ensure they are maintained to a high standard and remain in safe working order.
* Ordering, receiving, checking, and correctly storing deliveries and supplies.
* Maintaining the preparation room and laundry areas in a clean, organised, and orderly condition.
* Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety within all Home Economics learning areas.
* Adhering to Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and safe food handling practices.

* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to a variety of situations and challenges.
* Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective in a busy work environment.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with teachers, staff, and students.
* Proven ability to show initiative, work independently, and contribute effectively as part of a team.
* Strong understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements, with a consistent focus on maintaining safe work practices.
* Demonstrated commitment to upholding the College values of Compassion, Courage, and Respect.
* Catholic Ethos: demonstrates strong understanding of Catholic Ethos and models this in all decision making.
