Senior Family Law Legal Assistant – Sunshine Coast, QLD
About the role
Chomley Family Law is seeking an experienced Senior Family Law Legal Assistant to join our team in our Sunshine Coast, Queensland office. In this full-time role you will provide crucial support to our Family Law solicitors and delegate work to our support team, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of legal services to our valued clients.
What you'll be doing
* Providing mentoring and training to more junior legal assistants as required
* Providing comprehensive legal administrative support to family law solicitors, including drafting correspondence, preparing court documents, managing client files and records
* Conducting legal research and analysis to support the preparation of family law matters
* Liaising with clients, courts, and other external parties to coordinate meetings, hearings, and other legal proceedings
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of family law legislation, procedures, and best practices
* Assisting with the implementation of office policies and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant operations
What we're looking for
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a legal assistant, with a strong background in family law
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, solicitors, and external parties
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
* Proficient in the use of legal software, databases, and other office technology
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
