About the Role:
We are looking for a Principal Planner to join our team. This is a high-impact, multi-faceted role that will shape the company’s growth through strategic business development while driving operational excellence across the planning portfolio. You will be instrumental in identifying opportunities, winning business, building key client relationships and leading teams to success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute strategies to increase market share, drive revenue growth and solidify our presence in the industry.
* Lead efforts to expand client networks and revenue streams through strategic relationship building and industry engagement.
* Secure, retain and grow key client partnerships ensuring long term success and commercial impact.
* Provide expert guidance on regulatory approvals, policy and compliance, influencing project outcomes across various industries.
* Conduct due diligence, reviews and studies to navigate legal, regulatory and social requirements.
* Apply data driven insights to anticipate industry shifts and develop forward thinking strategies.
* Oversee complex projects, directing consultants and sub consultants, ensuring successful completion on time and within budget.
* Identify and mitigate external affairs project risks, offering innovative solutions to ensure seamless delivery.
About You
* You will bring a strategic commercial mindset, exceptional leadership and a proven track record in business development and client retention.
* Bachelor of Arts (Urban and Regional Planning) or related qualification;
* Proven success in a senior leadership role preferably in a planning or development advisory firm is essential.
* Demonstrated ability to drive business growth through strategic client managment and repeat opportunities.
* Proven track record increasing revenue through lead generation and successful pitching and winning new business.
* Strong financial acumen and analytical expertise, and ability to leverage insights in decision making.
* Extensive experience managing high stakes projects, teams and complex tasks in fast paced environments.
