This role is critical to executing our training objectives, including Forklift (PIT) and Truck Yard Safety (TDR) and process improvement.
You will thrive in this role if you are dynamic, an organised self-starter, a strong communicator and highly value teamwork.
The successful candidate will be trained in both the standard work and tools used within the learning function, and will be required to work across warehouse processes.
This role requires that you hold a current Forklift Licence (LF & LO) and have demonstrated forklift experience as well as a good proficiency in MS Office.
Responsibilities
Schedule and conduct PIT and TDR training, including classroom and practical evaluations as needed.
Ensure compliance with New Operator Behaviour Audits (NOBA) and PIT related refresher training.
Maintain PIT and TDR related records and complete all data entry.
Assist with PIT and TDR related safety incident investigations and coach associates on safe operation.
Audit operators for compliance with all EHS PIT operation standards.
Complete standard work and assigned tasks on time and to standard expectation.
Perform data entry, including creating, entering and updating training rosters.
Lead and support Ambassadors in delivering training and coaching to associates.
Act as a safety subject-matter expert, ensuring associates operate safely and take immediate corrective action when necessary.
Be comfortable with a high-volume workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves," including jumping into warehouse roles regularly.
Spend a minimum of 5–10 hours per week in a process path (rotate through paths) to maintain proficiency and identify associate barriers while learning part of the Learning Trainer role.
Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Basic Qualifications
Hold a current forklift licence (LO & LF).
At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
High-school education or equivalent.
Work 40 hours per week, with overtime as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Workplace training experience (ideal but not required).
Willingness to work across several areas as required by training needs.
Able to give and receive feedback effectively.
Effective time-management skills.
Acknowledgement of country
In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
