About the Role
As a Direct Care Attendant (Residential), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our residents. Your primary responsibilities include:
* Observing and reporting on residents' health and wellbeing
* Assisting with routine documentation and risk assessments
* Supporting residents with diversional therapy and activities
* Providing compassionate, respectful care following policies and procedures
* Communicating effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
* Maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating discretion
* Collaborating with colleagues and providing assistance as needed
* Using Microsoft Office for documentation
* Using initiative and judgment in daily tasks
Please note the classification as WHA3 or WHA4 will depend on qualifications and experience. To qualify for WHA4, applicants need:
* Completed AQF Certificate III in a relevant field (e.g., Aged Care or Individual Support)
* Previous experience in a direct care role, ideally in aged care or with frail or disabled persons
