Overview
My client is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer. As a Project Engineer, you will oversee the successful delivery of subdivision and TMR projects, managing the technical aspects of a project, ensuring it's completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards, by coordinating with project managers, design teams, and contractors.
Responsibilities
* Take an active role in all phases of project delivery, from tender handovers and project launches to site setups, risk management, construction staging, and procurement.
* Manage key project aspects including safety, timelines, costs, and quality control.
* Oversee project planning and scheduling tasks.
* Coordinate and manage client relationships effectively.
* Monitor and evaluate the performance of construction teams and subcontractors against project estimates.
* Report on production costs daily, weekly, and monthly.
* Handle the procurement of plant, equipment, and materials.
* Issue Project Management Plans (PMPs), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMs), and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDs).
* Ensure project compliance with the Integrated Management System.
Qualifications / About You
* A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience as an Engineer in subdivisions and civil infrastructure projects.
* Proven expertise in earthworks, roads, pavements, structures, and general civil infrastructure.
* Experience working with local councils and service authorities.
* Strong ability to manage client relationships and maintain excellent rapport with subcontractors.
* Solid background in contract management.
