Job Title: Field Service Plant Mechanic
About the Role:
Reporting into the Field Service Supervisor, the Field Service Plant Mechanic will join the Field Service team on a full-time permanent basis at our Port Hedland branch. This role provides comprehensive on-site support for a diverse range of CAT equipment across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visiting customer sites to diagnose faults on Caterpillar equipment
- Carrying out repairs, maintenance and servicing of mining and marine machinery
- Managing Work Orders
- Carry out Product Improvement Plans and Product Support Programs
- Maintaining and operating a safe work environment
- Assisting the Customer to achieve machine availability and reliability KPI's
Requirements:
- Australian recognised Heavy-Duty Trade Certificate with post trade experience (Field Service) is essential
- Driver's License and LR license required (as a minimum) is essential
- HRWL (i.e. LF, DG, WP) & Working at Heights
- Refrigerant Handling License (Preferred but not essential)
- Caterpillar Mining Machinery and Marine equipment experience
- Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding skills through CAT SIS & CAT ET
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in an isolated and remote environment in a team and individually
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement principles
