Overview
Woodvale Secondary College (SC) is seeking to appoint a pool of highly motivated and dedicated Teachers - Science - Physics to join their friendly and dynamic team. The role may be permanent or fixed term, full-time or part time, and vacancies may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Role and Responsibilities
Suitable applicants will be motivated teachers, passionate about shaping students’ futures. They should possess excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and a repertoire of teaching strategies to engage students. Responsibilities include:
- Deliver Year 11 and 12 ATAR Physics with strong knowledge of instructional strategies;
- Engage in 21st Century learning practices and share these practices with colleagues;
- Work as part of a dedicated team to develop, review and deliver the science curriculum to ATAR level;
- Create and maintain a supportive and safe learning environment and provide educational opportunities for all students to reach their potential;
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative classroom practices, including the integration of information technology into the curriculum;
- Engage with the College’s STEM facility and related innovative practices.
Qualifications and Eligibility
To work with us you must:
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration;
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment;
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start;
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
