GetCareers is currently recruiting for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to undertake a Light Vehicle Automotive Apprenticeship with an established and reputable local business in the Mandurah region. This is a full-time prospect to earn while you learn and gain a nationally recognised qualification – Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
About the Role
- As a Light Vehicle Automotive Apprentice, duties may include:
- Assist in inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in light vehicles.
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance to ensure vehicles run safely and smoothly.
- Support the repair and replacement of vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, suspension, and brakes.
- Help with reassembling, restoring, and overhauling vehicle systems and parts.
- Use tools and diagnostic equipment under supervision to identify and solve vehicle faults.
- Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment while following workplace health and safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Physically fit and enjoys working both indoors and outdoors
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to learning a trade
- Works well as part of a team and follows instructions
- A Manual Driver’s Licence is preferred but not essential
- Willingness to complete the apprenticeship while working full time
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must reside in the Mandurah Region due to job location
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
- Women are strongly encouraged to apply
- 2nd or 3rd Year Light Vehicle Automotive Apprentices are also encouraged to apply
