Qualified Butcher – Casual Position

Murphy's Quality Butchery is a proud family-owned business known for premium products and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking a Qualified Butcher to join our team on a casual basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent role for the right candidate. Weekend availability is essential.
This role involves working across our three Central Coast locations — Lisarow, Chittaway Bay and Wyong — so flexibility and reliable transport are required.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver outstanding customer service in a friendly and professional manner in a retail envionment
* Prepare and present meat products to a consistently high standard
* Break down whole lambs, pigs and beef bodies
* Making sausages, mince and smoked products etc
* Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash accurately
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in line with food safety regulations
* Complete daily opening and closing procedures
* Assist with deliveries (manual driver's licence preferred but not essential)
* Work weekends as part of the roster
About You
* Genuine passion for butchery and quality food
* Experience in butchery, retail or food service (preferred)
* Minimum 1-2 years of butchery experience is required
* Well-presented with strong communication skills
* Reliable, punctual and a strong team player
* Positive attitude, flexible approach and strong work ethic
* Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
* Fully qualified preferred; partially qualified applicants encouraged to apply
* Certificate III in Meat Processing or equivalent butchery qualification is required as a minimum
