About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist to provide specialist clinical service provision to clients with Parkinson's Disease and other movement disorders across South West Sydney Local Health District. The position will work directly with neurologists and other allied health clinicians across SWSLHD to improve access and care to patients with Parkinson's Disease and other movement disorders. Part-time job share will be considered.
What You'll Be Doing
This position is responsible for specialist physiotherapy clinical service provision to clients with Parkinson's Disease and other movement disorders across South West Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD). This includes service development and evaluation and advanced reasoning and clinical practice skills in the management of clients of a novel or complex nature, as well as providing consultation and education across the SWSLHD in specialised assessment and treatment of clients with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders. The position is responsible for the supervision, teaching and training of Level 1/2 and 3 Physiotherapists, AHAs and students. The position will build multidisciplinary relationships and work closely with the Neurology departments in SWSLHD to lead the service design and build district-wide multidisciplinary pathways and improve access to specialised care for clients with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, including facilitation of community supports and in-reach to clinics.

Current Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a recognised degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
Advanced level of clinical knowledge and expertise in the physiotherapy management of patients with Parkinson's Disease and other movement disorders
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build partnerships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated experience in providing clinical leadership, consultation, supervision and education for staff and/or students
Demonstrated leadership, skills and experience in the planning and implementation of quality improvement, research and service development activities.
