Water Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have knowledge and experience in pre- and post-contract management in NEC 3 or NEC 4 ECC and procurement within the UK water, environment, and nuclear sectors.
Key Responsibilities
General:
* NEC3/4 Option A, Option C, Option E ECC Contract management and administration client side
* Budget control
* Payment valuation and assisting the PM in payment certification
* Actual cost forecasting and Defined Cost determination
* Establishing and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders
* Ensure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issues
Pre-Contract:
* Feasibility studies and cost planning
* Preparation of tender documentation
* Evaluation of tenders
* Risk management
Post-Contract:
* Management and administration of construction contracts, ensuring compliance with contract terms
* Cost control and valuation
* Evaluation and negotiation of change orders or variations
* Claims and dispute resolution
* Final accounts and post-project evaluation
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying
* Full Membership of chartered body such RICS or a substantively progressed route on an approved APC pathway
* A wealth of experience postgraduate in Rail, Nuclear, Water and/or Environment
* Line Management and recruitment experience of Quantity Surveyors or Assistant Quantity Surveyors
* CDM regulation knowledge and experience
* Risk management experience
* Valid CSCS card, with Water Hygiene Card desirable
* Main contractor and/or joint venture experience working client side
* Site presence and co-location minimum 3 days a week
* An experienced user of the NEC3-4 suite of contracts (A-C-E must have)
