About the role
Lismore Base Hospital is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager to lead Ward C7 (General Medicine/Stroke).
In this role, you will be responsible for the effective management and coordination of nursing and support staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care. You will provide leadership to the nursing team, foster strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, and oversee workplace health, safety, and the unit environment.
This position plays a key role in driving clinical leadership, supporting continuous improvement, and promoting staff engagement in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of healthcare services.
Candidates with a postgraduate qualification in leadership/management or a relevant clinical specialty are encouraged to apply. Applicants who have commenced, or are willing to commence, a postgraduate qualification in leadership/management will also be considered, with a commitment to complete the qualification within 12 months.
