Job Title: Sustainability Manager

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of site-wide sustainability strategies that align with regional and global goals. This includes driving onsite execution of environmental improvement projects, focusing on energy, water, waste, and carbon emissions. Additionally, they will manage environmental contracts, including waste management and by-product handling.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement site-wide sustainability strategies to reduce environmental impact.
* Lead onsite execution of environmental improvement projects.
* Manage environmental contracts and ensure compliance.
* Coach and support plant teams in best practices for environmental stewardship and compliance.
* Maintain the site's Environmental Management System in line with ISO 14001:2015 standards.
* Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance sustainability.
* Provide technical advice and best practices to other sites within the organization.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
* At least 3 years' experience in environmental management, preferably in manufacturing.
* Strong knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and relevant environmental regulations.
* Proven ability to lead or coach teams on sustainability initiatives.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Experience with risk management, compliance, and contract oversight.
