About the Opportunity
The Board is seeking an accomplished and forward thinking
General Manager
to lead the next phase of the Club's evolution.
This is a strategic leadership role, responsible for guiding the organisation's commercial performance, governance, people, and community partnerships. The successful candidate will balance sound financial management with visionary leadership, driving innovation while maintaining the strong community values the Club is known for.
You'll work closely with the Board to deliver strategic growth, operational excellence, and a clear long term vision for the Club's future, continuing to strengthen its position as one of Queensland's leading regional venues.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strong, visible leadership aligned with the Club's strategic direction
Oversee financial, operational, and governance performance
Ensure compliance across all regulatory areas
Lead, mentor, and empower a capable team to achieve operational excellence
Build and maintain positive relationships with members, sporting partners, and community stakeholders
Drive innovation in hospitality, gaming, and member engagement
Partner with the Board and Key stakeholders to deliver sustainable growth and major infrastructure outcomes
About You
You're a proven leader with a blend of strategic vision, commercial insight, and emotional intelligence. You know how to run a successful venue, but more importantly, how to grow one.
You'll bring:
Executive level experience within the club, hotel, or hospitality industry
Strong financial literacy and governance expertise
A modern, inclusive leadership style that builds culture and accountability
Confidence in stakeholder management and community representation
Proven experience preparing and presenting detailed board reports.
RMLV (Responsible Management of Licensed Venues)
Approved Manager's License
QLD RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
QLD RSG (Responsible Service of Gambling)
Food Safety Supervisor
