We're seeking a proactive and customer-focused Venue Support Officer to support the daily operations of busy community and sports centres. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast‐paced environment, and has a passion for community engagement.

About the Role

You'll be the first point of contact for visitors, helping create a welcoming and inclusive environment while supporting day‐to‐day centre operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver high‐quality customer service (face‐to‐face, phone, and online)
* Manage bookings for programmes, courts, rooms, and events
* Process payments accurately
* Set up and pack down spaces for sports, functions, and events
* Provide support and directions to visitors and user groups
* Assist with event delivery and act as a host when required
* Maintain presentation and safety of facilities
* Support general operations, including canteen duties where required

About You

* Strong customer service experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
* Flexible availability across a 7‐day roster (including opening/closing shifts)
* Physically capable of manual tasks (set‐ups/pack‐downs)

Desirable

* Experience in sports, recreation, or community facilities
* Cash handling experience

Requirements

* Current First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
* Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Commitment to child‐safe environments
