About the opportunity
The School of Psychology is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate / Fellow in Cognitive Neuroscience to conduct research within the Rideaux Lab, investigating the neural mechanisms underlying perception, cognition, and behaviour. They will design experiments, analyse data, publish findings, and contribute to the academic environment through mentorship and scientific communication.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* work closely with the chief investigator and research team to investigate the neural mechanisms of perception, cognition and behaviour
* coordinate participant recruitment and data collection with healthy human participants, ensuring high standards of rigour
* contribute to the design, analysis, and interpretation of data using neuroimaging (EEG/MRI), behavioural, and/or computational approaches
* prepare manuscripts, reports, and presentations to disseminate research findings.

* a PhD in Psychology or a related discipline
* demonstrated expertise in research design, human data collection, and analysis
* experience programming in MATLAB and/or Python
* an interest in, or willingness to develop skills in, neural mechanisms of perception and cognition
* the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
* strong organisational and written communication skills, and the capacity to work independently and take initiative.
