We are seeking a Mine Dispatch Coordinator to join our team. The successful applicant will have experience in coordinating the movement of mining equipment, vehicles, and personnel within the mine site.
About the Role
The Mine Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all dispatch activities adhere to safety regulations and procedures, including traffic management, equipment maintenance, and emergency response protocols.
Key Responsibilities
* Dispatch Operations: Coordinate the movement of mining equipment, vehicles, and personnel according to production schedules, safety protocols, and logistical requirements.
* Communications: Maintain constant communication with mine supervisors, equipment operators, and other relevant personnel to convey instructions, updates, and emergency notifications effectively.
* Safety Compliance: Ensure that all dispatch activities adhere to safety regulations and procedures, including traffic management, equipment maintenance, and emergency response protocols.
* Emergency Response: Coordinate emergency responses in collaboration with mine safety teams, including evacuations, rescue operations, and communication with external emergency services if necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. They should also be proficient in using fleet management tools and have experience in Opencut mining.
Requirements
* Experience: 2+ years in a similar role or in a related field.
