Unique opportunity for a driven Quarry Supervisor to join our high-performing team on a permanent basis, overseeing the day-to-day operations across our Peats Ridge quarry business. Reporting to and supporting the Quarry Manager, this dynamic and diverse role will contribute to key areas of the quarry, including safety, environment, quality control, and performance.
You’ll play a crucial role in optimising plant and equipment performance while ensuring compliance with safety standards and adherence to Boral's OH&S;, Environmental, and Quality Standards.
Your day will involve:
- Lead by example to foster a Zero Harm safety culture across all sites and teams.
- Promote Boral’s safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Effective management of production and maintenance activities, including promoting and enforcing safety processes and protocols to meet performance outcomes.
- Oversee contractor inductions and ensure compliance with Boral’s requirements.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in quarrying, mining, or materials handling is essential.
- Degree, Diploma, or Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or Boilermaking (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong background in crushing and screening and heavy fixed and mobile equipment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong leadership attributes including initiative to identify, manage, and solve issues as they arise
