Ecologist/Botanist Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled ecologist/botanist to progress their career in ecological consulting. We are seeking an experienced professional who has a passion for flora and delivering high-quality environmental outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an ecological consultant in NSW with expertise in ecological survey, reporting, and assessment skills. They will work closely with our Principal Ecologists to provide high-quality project outcomes and bespoke advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake flora surveys and vegetation mapping in accordance with guidelines.
* Identify plant species and classify vegetation communities across NSW.
* Lead and support the delivery of ecology projects for a range of clients.
* Mentor and manage junior ecologists.
* Coordinate and lead fieldwork for ecological assessments.
* Provide biodiversity assessments including impact assessments, monitoring reports, and targeted surveys.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Tertiary degree in Environmental Science or related discipline.
* First aid and Construction White Card.
* Driver's licence (unrestricted).
* Ability to classify vegetation communities, flora identification, targeted survey, and habitat evaluation.
* Demonstrated experience in delivering ecology projects in NSW, including planning surveys and coordinating field teams.
* Thorough understanding of local, state (NSW), and federal reporting guidelines and legislation.
* GIS experience.
* Experience in collecting and interpreting ecological and spatial data.
* Highly competent in report writing.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
* Ability to build strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and fellow team members.
