From coordinating ensembles to ensuring seamless event delivery, you’ll be central to the creative heartbeat of the School. Reporting to the School Manager, the role is responsible for delivering a wide range of administrative processes in support of these outcomes and your work will directly enhance the experience of our music students while strengthening the School’s engagement with the wider community. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Coordinate scheduling and administration of concerts and events, liaising with artists, agents and external venues. Develop and manage promotional materials and collateral, including concert programs, competition entry forms, website and social media content, ensuring alignment with UQ brand standards. Oversee front and back of house arrangements, including venue setup, equipment movement, performer requirements and contractor coordination (e.g. piano tuning). Support event delivery through recording and live streaming of concerts, lectures and examination recitals. Collaborate with Faculty marketing and advancement teams on external-facing initiatives and attend rehearsals and events outside standard business hours as required. Additionally, you will demonstrate: A relevant degree or diploma or a degree or diploma with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education training. Demonstrated experience in managing events and coordinating activities. Demonstrated skills in providing a high level of client service, including effective interpersonal skills. Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Effective organisational, time management and problem-solving skills. Experience working as a team member in a busy environment. Working knowledge of University administrative systems, policies and procedures or the capacity to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
