About the role
Mater Private Hospital Townsville is inviting expressions of interest from experienced Registered Nurses who are ready to take the next step in their career by transitioning into a Clinical Nurse role within our PAU department.
This opportunity is offered as Permanent, Full Time working 38 hours a week at our Pimlico campus.
Our Perioperative Clinical Nurses provide additional leadership and advanced clinical competency to our Nursing Team.
You will use your extensive experience to provide a mentorship and guiding aspect to assist in the professional growth of less-experienced nursing team members, supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in activities designed to aid the sustainability of the Clinical Stream and assist with skill development.
Demonstrating advanced clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and management of patients to achieve optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care
Supporting other staff in the unit to ensure provision of exceptional care to patients in line with best practice, Mater mission and values and policy and procedure
Assist/Supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
Assist/support Nurse Unit Manager with facilitation of quality improvements and patient safety initiatives to improve effectiveness and efficiency of service and patient care outcomesMaintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
About you
The successful applicant will have the following:
Minimum 4 years' experience within the PAU environment
Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater values
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with avariety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels
