We apply international best practices from IEC standards and adapt them to the USA IEEE and NEC standards, serving markets such as commercial, communications, energy, electronics, industrial, hospitality, infrastructure, medical, security, and defense.Job Overview:This position is based at our headquarters in Mooresville, NC, and supports the DEHN, Inc. design team. Responsibilities include creating 3D CAD models and drawings of lightning protection systems using SketchUp, based on various documents, photographs, and earth view inputs. The role may expand to application engineering support for lightning and surge protection products.Some travel within the USA and to Germany for training and site reviews may be required, up to 10%.Minimum Requirements:Ability to read blueprints and create detailed drawings and templates.Proficiency with SolidWorks, SketchUp, AutoCAD for designing lightning protection, ground systems, and installation details.Experience measuring and drawing components and assemblies from samples.Ability to create architectural plan views, elevations, and bill of materials from drawings.Capability to model structures and PV earthing grids.Good communication skills in English and Spanish, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.Basic electrical knowledge of low voltage power distribution and grounding.Understanding of surge protection devices, DEHN product lines, and IEC 62305 design methods.Ability to learn DEHNplan, XGSlabs software modeling, and other relevant tools.Additional Information:DEHN Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Job Details:Seniority Level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment Type: Full-timeJob Function: Design and EngineeringIndustries: Design Services, Renewable Energy, Semiconductor ManufacturingReferrals can double your chances of interviewing at DEHN, Inc.
