Regional Purchasing Manager Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Regional Purchasing Manager to join our team in Sydney.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies for regionally sourced goods and services, ensuring alignment with national and global procurement strategies.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement regional procurement strategies for the Eastern Region
* Analyse market trends and develop category knowledge
* Manage strategic procurement projects with a cross-functional impact
* Oversee supplier performance, quality, customer support, and price management
* Build new supplier relationships and develop alternative sources and solutions
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration (preferred)
* Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Procurement or Operations in an industrial or manufacturing setting
* Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation
* Strong proficiency in data analysis, market benchmarking, and decision-making
Preferred Requirements
* CIPSA student or full membership is preferred
* Familiarity with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba)
