Protech is seeking an experienced Quarry Pit & Production Manager to lead operations at a high-performing quarry site on the Northern Gold Coast. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and drive production excellence in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
As the Pit & Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing quarry operations including crushing, screening, dispatch, and maintenance. You'll lead a motivated team to achieve safety, environmental, and financial targets while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee pit development, drill & blast, and environmental monitoring.
* Manage crushing and screening operations from primary crusher to dispatch.
* Lead maintenance activities and ensure asset compliance with group standards.
* Ensure compliance with development consent conditions and statutory reporting.
* Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
* Support SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
* Lead and develop the production, pit, and maintenance teams.
* Manage cost allocation, capital spend, and production planning.
* Maintain customer relationships and ensure product quality meets expectations.
* Support ISO 9000 certification and quality management systems.
* Engage with the community and support CSR initiatives.
About You
* Advanced Diploma in Extractive Industries.
* Minimum 5 years in a Quarry Management role.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Knowledge of SAP, Kronos, iCare, INX, and Google/Microsoft Office Suite.
* Above Ground Mine Managers Certificate (preferred).
* Sound understanding of safety, environmental, and quality legislation.
