We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of ASP1 utility infrastructure projects across New South Wales.
This role will be responsible for managing electrical distribution and utility infrastructure works directly associated with live utility networks, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
You will bring a strong balance of technical electrical network knowledge and commercial project management capability, with experience delivering projects in utility or ASP contractor environments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing infrastructure delivery team supporting critical power and utility network upgrades across NSW.
Client is open to considering a Construction Manager / Site Manager who is looking to step up into a Project Manager role.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the end-to-end delivery of ASP1 electrical infrastructure projects across distribution networks and utility environments
* Oversee project planning, scheduling, procurement, budgeting, and resource coordination
* Liaise closely with utilities, clients, subcontractors, site teams, and key stakeholders throughout project delivery
* Monitor project financial performance including forecasting, cost tracking, reporting, and variations management
* Ensure works are delivered in accordance with utility standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications
* Coordinate electrical and civil construction activities to ensure safe and efficient project execution
* Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews across multiple concurrent projects
* Drive project controls, QA/QC processes, compliance documentation, and risk management activities
* Prepare and maintain project documentation including progress reports, programs, forecasts, and client updates
* Support the delivery of projects through commissioning, energisation, and final handover phases
* Ensure strong safety performance and compliance with all WHS and utility requirements
Key Requirements
* Demonstrated construction experience delivering ASP1 or utility infrastructure projects within NSW
* Strong understanding of electrical distribution networks and utility project environments
* Proven background managing the delivery and construction of electrical infrastructure projects
* Strong commercial acumen with experience in project controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting or willingness to learn
* Experience managing utility stakeholders, subcontractors, and client interfaces
* Understanding of QA/QC processes, compliance requirements, and utility standards
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Experience working within ASP contractors, utility service providers, or electrical infrastructure contractors highly regarded
* Practical site-based construction delivery background with exposure to commercial project management functions
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline
