Connect and Equip ePortfolios provide evidence of learning by staff.Position Description: Reporting to the Director of Formation, the Formation Assistant: Casual marker provides support services to the LEA office through the assessment, moderation and feedback of Connect or Equip ePortfolios towards the achievement of nationally agreed Outcomes.Our casual marking pool provides prospect for teachers to experience the assessment and moderation of ePortfolios, provide guidance to teachers and to network with other like-minded people in the Lutheran system.
Casual markers assess ePortfolios on a flexible arrangement, with appropriate remuneration for their marking time.
For 2025, the rate is $54.50 per item.General terms of appointment: The incumbent is required to:abide by all LCANZ and LEA policies and comply with procedures as applicableobserve and comply with the LCANZ and LEA Work, Health & Welfare policies and proceduresmaintain the right to work in Australiapreferably maintain current registration as a teacher in a state or territory of Australiamaintain a current Working with Children Check which is satisfactory to LEAbe responsible for understanding and demonstrating a commitment to the LCANZ Standards of Ethical Behaviour, Valuing Safe Communities standards, LEA's Mission, Vision and Values, and to Growing Deep: LEA's Leadership and Formation Framework.Key position responsibilities:work effectively as a member of the LEA support teamuphold the values and teachings of the LCANZact in accordance with principles of good practice and protocolsmaintain confidentiality regarding sensitive informationundertake tasks assigned by the Director of Formation, in particular, the assessing of Connect and/or Equip ePortfolios towards accreditation of staff in Lutheran education.current accreditation as a teacher in Lutheran education (At)accreditation as a leader is desirable (Al or ACL)preferably hold or be working towards a Masters in Educational Leadership or equivalentan interest, strong knowledge and practical understandings of Lutheran theological concepts that include grace, creation, community and vocation, and God's Word for a school or ECSability and confidence in assessment according to rubric criteria and prescribed learning outcomesexcellent oral and written communication skillsknowledge and competence in using Microsoft Office software (Word, Teams, OneNote) and other digital ePortfolio platformsexperience in facilitating school-based Connect Sessions is advantageous.In addition to the criteria for Connect ePortfolio markers, Equip ePortfolio markers require:LEA Accreditation as a Christian Studies teacher (Ac)an understanding of Christian Studies and competence in using the Christian Studies Curriculum Frameworkadvanced understanding and ability to articulate Lutheran theological concepts related to Who is God?

levels of biblical literacy as they apply to ECS, primary and secondary contextsa strong understanding of pedagogical approaches used in Christan Studies, including the implications for learners, learning and the learning environmentfor people who obtained Ac without completing Equip, please be aware that the completion of Equip is advantageous to the marker role.Lutheran Education Australia represents the Lutheran schools and early childhood centres of the Lutheran Church of Australia.
