The role will bepermanent full-timewith a 5-day working week with a rotating on-call roster, based in our Windsor Street facility.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Maintenance Officer who is passionate about property upkeep and delivering excellent service to our residents, families and staff.
You'll bring experience in general building maintenance, a hands-on approach to problem-solving, strong attention to detail and understanding of workplace health and safety.
Trade qualifications or certifications would be highly regarded but not essential
The ability to safely operate tools and equipment, as well as the physical capacity for tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying, is essential.
The ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with a broad range of people including those living with dementia
Most importantly, you'll have a positive attitude, great communication skills, and a genuine commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our community.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Asset Services Manager you will be responsible for:
Maintaining buildings and physical assets and carrying out routine maintenance tasks within the independent living units and our two residential care facilities. Tasks include repairs, painting, plumbing, gardening and electrical work.
Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on building structures, equipment, and facilities as directed.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address any issues that arise
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and costs
Collaborate with the broader care team to ensure a safe and well-functioning environment for our residents, visitors and staff.
You will be required to participate in an on-call roster.
Essential criteria for this role include:
Satisfactory National Police Check valid within 12 months.
Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration with NDIS Endorsement.
