Overview
As a Network Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise-grade edge network infrastructure, with a focus on implementing and optimizing Cisco wireless and SD-WAN solutions.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Cisco wireless LAN controllers, access points, and related infrastructure.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela or Meraki) solutions across distributed environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, escalating complex problems to the Network Architect or vendors as needed.
- Assist in the rollout of hybrid-WAN and performance optimization strategies.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, including topology diagrams and configuration records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support solution delivery and ensure alignment with architectural standards.
- Participate in on-site and remote client engagements to support solution deployment and issue resolution.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco wireless technologies (WLCs, APs, Prime Infrastructure, DNA Center).
- Solid understanding of Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela or Meraki), including policy configuration and performance monitoring.
- Hands on experience with VXLAN.
- Solid grasp of routing and switching protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
- Familiarity with network security principles and tools (e.g., firewalls, NAC).
- Experience working in high-availability, fault-tolerant environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA Wireless, CCNP Enterprise, or SD-WAN Specialist.
- Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and network automation tools.
