Job Description:
Mechanical equipment specialists are required to maintain the efficiency and reliability of pumps, valves, and hydrocyclones in our service centre. Key responsibilities include on-site mechanical repairs and inspections, as well as installation, commissioning, adjustments, and inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
* Repair and refurbish used pumps
* Assemble new pumps in accordance with OEM procedures
* Support Metso Pump Trials in the field
* Carry out hands-on service work, including adjustments, installation, commissioning, and operation of pumps on and off customer sites
* Internal and external report writing
* Conduct investigations into customer failures
* Contribute to technical evaluations
* Analyse equipment and machine component failures
* Solve practical on-the-job problems
Requirements:
* Mechanical trade qualification recognised in Australia
* Ability to read and interpret documents
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
* Hold a current motor vehicle license and be able to pass random medical and drug tests
* Physically fit
* Ability to travel with short notice
* Ability to work away from home for extended periods and extended hours
