About the Role: As a Storeperson within the Supply & Logistics Department at Mount Isa Mines, you will support the safe and efficient movement of materials across site operations. The residential position operates on a 5/2, 4/3 roster and reports to the Supervisor – Supply. Your responsibilities include day‐to‐day warehouse and inventory activities, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, issuance and recording of materials to meet operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely perform daily warehouse and inventory management activities in accordance with site procedures and safety standards.
* Receive, check and record inbound materials, including verification against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
* Pick, issue and dispatch materials accurately to meet operational requirements.
* Maintain accurate inventory records through approved systems (e.g. ERP/inventory management systems).
* Conduct stock counts, cycle counts and assist with stocktakes as required.
* Operate forklift, light vehicles and other approved equipment in accordance with licences, procedures and risk assessments.
* Ensure materials are stored, handled and transported safely to prevent damage, loss or incidents.
* Identify and escalate inventory discrepancies, damaged goods or safety hazards.
* Maintain a clean, organised and compliant warehouse environment.
* Engage professionally with internal stakeholders, transport providers and contractors.
About you – skills and experience
You are a safety‐focused and reliable Storeperson who takes pride in accuracy, organisation, and supporting site operations through disciplined warehouse and inventory practices.
You will bring
* Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence (highly regarded but not critical).
* Qualification in warehousing or logistics (highly regarded but not critical).
* Previous experience in warehousing, supply, logistics or inventory control within an industrial, mining, or large organisational environment (desirable).
* Sound numeracy, literacy and attention to detail to ensure accuracy of inventory and documentation.
* Demonstrated commitment to working safely and following procedures.
* Ability to operate computer systems and maintain accurate electronic records.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* A proactive attitude with a focus on continuous improvement and quality service.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Current C-Class manual driver's licence (mandatory).
* Current High Risk Work License – LF (forklift) (mandatory).
