About the role
Reporting to the General Manager-Open Pit, the Open Pit Manager is responsible for all aspects of safe and efficient mine production to deliver annual budgeted KPIs for Norton's open-cut mining operations. This includes the management of contractor mining personnel, as well as the short-term planning and scheduling of operations in compliance with Mines Safety regulations. The Open Pit Manager will lead efforts to reduce production costs and ensure the highest level of people and plant utilisation safely.
Skills and Experience
* Unrestricted Western Australian Quarry Managers Certificate
* Demonstrated experience in an equivalent role.
* Minimum 10+ years' of relevant experience in open pit gold mining operations.
* Relevant tertiary qualifications preferred.
* Current unencumbered manual C Western Australian Driver's Licence.
* Senior First Aid (Desirable).
