As a member of the Catering team, you will prepare meals for our residents and manage an established team of catering assistants. This role includes overseeing effective meal service, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, documentation, and food preparation best practices.
About The Role
Preparing fresh and nutritious meals for residents according to their dietary needs
Managing all kitchen resources, including equipment and food supplies, within your approved budget
Maintaining a hygienic kitchen compliant with the Aged Care quality standards
To be successful in this role you’ll need
A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
Comfortable interacting with a diverse range of people
Good communication skills
A reliable team player
Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery)
Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate
Understanding of food safety, kitchen cleanliness, and hygiene practices
Knowledge of HACCP is preferred
Ability to follow instructions and work independently
Ability to establish professional relationships with residents and families
NDIS and Police check clearance or willingness to obtain
