ABOUT THE BRANCH & SECTION
The Human Resource (HR) Branch manages and consults on HR policies, provides advice and services related to employee conduct, payroll services and remuneration, work health and safety, workers compensation, recruitment and mobility, workforce planning and capability development, and performance management. The Branch also contributes to strategies to enhance organisational culture, diversity and leadership.

The People Capability, Entry Level Programs, Diversity and Inclusion section is responsible for the management and delivery of:

* Entry Level Programs
* Culture & Diversity
These key deliverables are currently being managed across three teams within the section, with collaboration and all teams working closely to deliver our shared goals.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you a passionate HR leader who excels at shaping entry level careers? It is an exciting time to lead Entry Level Programs in Finance. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative EL1 Assistant Director to oversee the Entry Level Programs (ELP) team. In this leadership role, you will guide and support a talented group of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence across the team.

As Assistant Director, you will be responsible for managing the whole-of-government end to end program management for the Australian Government Graduate Program (AGGP) – Accounting and Financial Management Stream, the Australian Government Career Starter Program, and Finance's own Graduate program. This will involve frequent engagement with internal stakeholders, partner Agencies and ELP cohorts, requiring strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

We are seeking a team leader who is a collaborative communicator, client-focused, and passionate about driving innovation. You will bring a positive, can-do attitude that complements the vibrant culture of this small and busy team. As a customer service focused leader, you will be adept at balancing competing priorities, demonstrating exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail to continue delivering outstanding service and providing pastoral care to ELP cohorts.

If you have proven experience operating in a recruitment or entry level programs environment, or within a fast-paced administrative setting, and have a track record of stakeholder engagement and team leadership, we want to hear from you. This role offers the opportunity to:

All Finance staff are required to have a minimum baseline security clearance prior to commencement.
* This role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing. Roles may be offered as either ongoing or non-ongoing subject to operational requirements. Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for a specified term of up to 12 months. Specified term vacancies may be extended up to a maximum period of 18 months.
