The Glen Hotel is seeking a Guest Service Agent to join our award-winning venue in Eight Mile Plains. We're an all-encompassing destination featuring our Deck Bar, Charles Baker Coffee & Donut Shop, Lily Restaurant, Gaming Room, 4.5-star accommodation as well as 5 diverse event spaces and a drive-thru bottle shop.
The Glen is an independent venue, owned by the same family for over 62 years. We are an essential part of our local community, and our team has a genuine passion for hospitality – creating a place where customers feel welcome and comfortable, with a focus on delivering exceptional service alongside our strong food and beverage offerings.
Your Role
* Effective management of all arrivals and departures ensuring that check in and check out procedures are followed
* Processing new reservations and managing changes to existing bookings
* Maximising room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities
* Process and deliver in-room dining and mini bar
* Preparation of daily reports as required
What you will need –
* Ability to work nights and weekends is essential
* Previous experience using Opera Cloud is highly regarded
* Previous experience in a hotel or customer service environment
* Exceptional customer service skills and an unwavering positive attitude
* Eye for detail and accuracy
* Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
