About the Role:


Are you a confident leader with a passion for delivering meaningful outcomes in the disability sector?


As the Program Leader – Community Supports, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of high-quality, person-centred programs for people with disabilities. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring services are not only compliant with NDIS requirements but truly tailored to each participant’s goals, preferences, and independence.


Working closely with the Area Manager and internal teams, you’ll provide visible, hands-on leadership—supporting, coaching, and developing your team while driving consistent, high-quality service delivery across a variety of community settings.

Duties:

* Lead and oversee the delivery of community support programs aligned with participant goals and organisational priorities
* Manage program schedules, staffing, resources, and budgets to ensure efficient service delivery
* Provide hands-on leadership through coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, and regular team engagement
* Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of team members
* Ensure full compliance with NDIS standards, funding requirements, and internal policies
* Maintain accurate and timely participant documentation, progress notes, and incident reporting
* Monitor and review participant plans, adapting supports based on feedback, changing needs, and funding
* Advocate for participant rights, promoting independence, choice, and community inclusion
* Build strong, collaborative relationships with participants, families, internal teams, and external stakeholders
* Contribute to audit readiness, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Travel regularly across your designated region to support teams and service delivery


Skills and Experience:


Essential:

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in Disability Services or a related field
* Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role
* Strong knowledge of person-centred practice, NDIS standards, and relevant legislation
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced environment
* Strong customer service focus across face-to-face, written, and phone interactions
* Proficiency in client management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
* Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required


Desirable:


* Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Leadership, or a related discipline
* Experience supporting audits and quality assurance processes
* Demonstrated experience managing budgets and program resources
* Knowledge of rostering systems and workforce planning
