The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Mining Technology Systems Technician/Installer with a strong background in mobile equipment, radio networks, and fleet management systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced mining technology systems. A key focus will be the integration of mobile radio networks (LTE, Wi-Fi) and fleet management solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and contribute to ongoing improvements.
Key responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and maintain mining technology systems, including mobile radio networks (LTE, Wi-Fi), safety systems, and site-specific technologies.
* Integrate and support fleet management systems (e.g., MineStar, Front Runner, Dispatch, Terrain, CAS).
* Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot issues using strong analytical skills.
* Provide technical support, guidance, and training to on-site personnel.
* Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize system performance and reliability.
* Manage tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including drug and alcohol screening and Australian Work Rights compliance.
The Candidate
We're looking for someone with hands-on experience working with heavy or light mobile equipment, ideally within the mining industry. Familiarity with autonomous operations and mobile radio network systems (such as LTE and Wi-Fi) is highly valued, along with experience using fleet management systems like MineStar, Modular, or similar dispatch platforms.
A relevant trade certificate as a Communications Technician (or equivalent) is required, and post-trade qualifications are a definite plus. If you're someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, comfortable with computer systems and related applications, and known for being action-oriented, organised, and confident making decisions under pressure we'd love to hear from you
