SAP Technical Lead – Contract | Melbourne | 6 Months + Extension
We are seeking an experiencedSAP Technical Leadto join a major transformation program with one of Australia's leading organisations.
ThisMelbourne-based contractoffers an initial6-month term with strong potential to extend long term, working across a diverse SAP application landscape.
You will take ownership of technical delivery across multiple integrated platforms, working closely with architecture, delivery, and business teams to ensure high-quality outcomes across design, build, and deployment phases.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical implementation of template solutions across systems includingSAP ECC,SAP Commerce,SuccessFactors
Ensure alignment between functional design and technical build, balancing standardisation with business requirements
Uphold design integrity across all deployments and resolve technical conflicts as they arise
Provide expert recommendations on platform capabilities, constraints, and enhancements
Manage development activities across internal teams and external vendors (ABAP, PI/PO, BTP, APIs, EDI)
Ensure robust and seamless integrations with internal systems, customers, banks, and transport/carrier platforms
Oversee technical specifications, test scripts, interface builds, and design reviews to ensure high coding quality
Enforce environment management standards and support performance tuning & system stability
Represent the technical stream in governance forums, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture and security policies
Contribute to test planning, defect management, cutover, and hypercare readiness
Maintain traceability from requirements through to technical deployment
Partner with site IT teams and vendors through rollout phases, providing expert technical support
About You
Proven experience as aSAP Technical Leador similar senior integration/technical delivery role
Strong understanding of core SAP technologies and cross-platform integration
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence technical direction
Melbourne-based
Initial 6-month contract
