About the Opportunity
A Café Barista plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of a cafe. We are looking for an experienced front of house assistant with a little work in the kitchen.
* Taking orders, operating cash register and POS Station.
* Service of hot and cold beverages and food items.
* Preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages.
* Operating espresso machines and ensuring quality drinks.
* Supporting all aspects of food preparation, quality control and food display.
* Ensuring adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables for Café area and stock rotation.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the Café and all areas pertaining to the Café ensuring food handling and health and safety guidelines are met.
* Remove food scraps, empty and clean Café bins, and wash, dry and store all crockery and utensils in order to provide a safe and hygienic work environment.
* Strip, clean, reassemble and maintain all food preparation and cooking appliances.
* Ensure day to day activities align with business operation as directed by your supervisor.
About You
* Must be able to work Full Time hours.
* Previous experience as a Barista for at least a solid year or more.
* A Visa that is valid for the next 12 months.
* All certificates and tickets required for food preparation and service.
* Can start ASAP and stay for the entire contract and understand that there is no work during school. holidays
* Strong team player and fantastic communication skills.
