This role delivers high-quality, patient-focused medical imaging across diverse clinical areas, aligned with the objectives and policies of Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District and current safety standards. As a Medical Radiation Scientist, you are professionally accountable for your conduct and practice, adhering to the Guidelines for Professional Conduct for radiographers and radiation therapists. You will be expected to perform complex diagnostic imaging procedures to support accurate clinical diagnosis and contribute to optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities

What You Will Bring To The Role
Degree in Medical Radiation Science and current registration with APHRA as a Medical Radiation Practitioner (Diagnostic Radiography)
Current I14 Radiation Licence from NSW EPA
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous hospital experience in General, Mobiles, Theatre, Trauma Radiography with some exposure to CT
Understanding of WH&S; and infection control in a radiology context
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to problem solve and manage time effectively in a clinical environment
Commitment to enroll and complete a postgraduate Ultrasound qualification within a specified time frame
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions of the current visa.
