Travelling Senior Dentist Role at Metro South Health
Metro South Oral Health Service is seeking a Travelling Senior Dentist to join their team. As the largest public provider in the State, they deliver a comprehensive range of services to an eligible adult population and children and adolescents from four years of age until the completion of Year 10 in secondary school.
About the Role
* Travel to remote HHS across Queensland to provide all aspects of general and emergency oral health care, utilizing currently accepted infection control practices, for attending patients.
* Accurately assess and treat patients, ensuring appropriate referral of patients for specialist services.
* Assume responsibility for the oral health care of special needs patients, those with complex treatment requirements, and/or complaint patients, as required.
* Work in a professional relationship with Oral Health/Dental Therapists, which can include supervision or oversight.
* Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to dental officers as required.

* Ensure effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of oral health policies and procedures.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
