Telecommunications Network Technician Job Description
The Telecommunications Network Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing telecommunications cabling to connect customers to our network. This involves planning, designing, and implementing efficient telecommunications systems to meet customer needs.
This role requires strong technical skills and attention to detail to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard. The technician must also have good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and other stakeholders.
* Install, test and commission telecommunications equipment and cabling
* Diagnose and rectify faults in telecommunications networks
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work performed
* Comply with all relevant industry regulations and safety protocols
Requirements
* Formal qualification in telecommunications or a related field (e.g. Certificate III in Telecommunications)
* Certificate III in telecommunications or related discipline
* Minimum 2 years' experience as a Telecommunications Cabler
* Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality of work
* Good communication and customer service skills
* Candidates must have appropriate work authorisation to work in Australia
