Salvation Army Housing Victoria (SAHV) provides a mix of crisis, rooming house, transitional and long-term accommodation to persons who are homeless or at risk of homelessness across the state. SAHV works with the most vulnerable in our communities, who come with complex and multiple needs. About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for Property Manager (Housing Worker) to join our Salvos Housing Victoria team. The role will be based at Belmont on a permanent, part-time (4 days a week). Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible to provide tenancy and property management services in line with the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA) across properties in Geelong through to Colac areas. The role is pivotal in assisting tenancies to be sustained and assist renters to exit into secure accommodation. Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring management of end-to-end tenancy function of all properties within the portfolio
* Management of leases, rent reviews and arrears
* Organising routine property inspections
* Facilitate support for maintenance services and repairs for properties
* Keeping renter records accurate and up to date in CHINTARO software
* Developing strategies to address renter needs within relevant policy and procedure and Residential Tenancy Act (RTA) guidelines
* Assess renter issues, needs and circumstances and represent Salvation Army Housing at VCAT hearings as required
About You The role will ideally suit someone with property management background and who is passionate about delivering a quality client-focussed service. We are not only seeking someone who naturally aligns with our culture but is also connected to contributing to improved outcomes for our clients. You will need to demonstrate that you have the capacity to engage with a wide cross section of individuals and an ability to prioritise workloads. Key capabilities:
* Experience and or certificate in Real estate, NFP, social or community housing sector;
* Demonstrated experience in tenancy and property management
* VCAT experience is preferred
* Strong understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act
* Sound knowledge of housing development within the social housing and community welfare sector will be highly regarded
