About the Role
We are partnering with a leading player in the steel reinforcement and construction materials industry to recruit a Scheduler. This is a critical, hands-on role responsible for creating detailed schedules and markup drawings from engineering and architectural plans, ensuring accurate delivery of steel bar and mesh for civil, commercial, and residential projects.
Working closely with Sales, Production, Transport, and customers, you will be the key link between project designs and on-time site delivery, ensuring precision, quality, and compliance with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and interpret structural and architectural drawings to calculate material quantities and create detailed reinforcement schedules
* Produce markup drawings for customer approval prior to site delivery
* Coordinate with Sales, Production, and Transport to manage project timelines and resolve issues
* Maintain accurate job documentation and scheduling records
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring schedules are completed on time
* Communicate with customers to confirm approvals and ensure service satisfaction
* Capture daily and weekly scheduled tonnes and track progress against targets
* Support continuous improvement in scheduling processes and workflow
About You
You are a detail-oriented and technically skilled professional with experience in steel reinforcement scheduling, drafting, or structural detailing. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects, and enjoy working directly from technical drawings.
Skills & Experience
* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural plans
* Experience in reinforcement detailing or steel scheduling
* Proficient with AutoCAD and MS Office
* Excellent numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
* Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with internal teams and customers
* Knowledge of steel manufacturing, fabrication, and construction processes is highly desirable
