This is a newly created senior role offering an opportunity for an experienced furniture trade professional to leave their mark. The role leads a team of 2-3 experienced account managers and reports directly to the Client Relations Director.Australian work rights are required for this position.
The OpportunityWe are seeking a commercially sharp Sales Manager with deep experience in the furniture trade who thrives on ownership, accountability and measurable results.This is a hands-on leadership role. Alongside leading a small, experienced account management team (2–3), you will also manage and grow your own portfolio of key trade and project clients, with direct responsibility for revenue, margin, and conversion.This role is not about popularity; it's about clarity, direction, performance and outcomes.You will lead our account management team with authority and intent, ensuring sales activity converts into real revenue, margin discipline is maintained, and performance is consistently measured and improved.You will work hand-in-hand with the Client Relations Director, who will be your direct manager. Together, you will drive strategy, execution and results.
What You'll Be Accountable ForSetting clear expectations, targets and KPIs across the sales teamLeading and directing experienced account managersMinimum 3-4 years of sales management or team leadership experience is requiredMonitoring pipelines, conversion rates, deal quality and close velocityCoaching performance and addressing underperformance decisivelyDriving structure, discipline and consistency in sales executionIdentifying where opportunities are being lost, and fixing themEnsuring key trade and project accounts are managed strategically and profitablyReporting on results with clarity, accuracy and commercial insight
